500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Dark malty aroma is slightly chocolately, fruity notes of red berries, a minimally earthy and foliage touch. Taste is dark malty, notes of liquorice, red berries, a earthy, minimally herbal touch; slightly sticky palate. Very coherent, harmonious - really nice.

Bottle 500ml. @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As Windswept Wolf ].Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, plum, prune. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, plum, roasted, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140315]

Dark ruby. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Aroma of dark caramel, port, plum jam and dried fruits, with an added hint of alcohol and fermented sourness. Similar fruity taste. Mouthfeel is thinner than expected, increasing the drinkability. Taste as expected from aroma, with overripe plums. Not much bitterness. Short aftertaste.

Bottle. Hazy ruby/brown body with a medium beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of berries, metal and nuts. Flavour of wood, burnt caramel, smoke, nuts and red fruits. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Thereโs an unpleasant smoky/burnt character to this. Not a fan.

On cask @ SIBA BeerX - Deep ruby body, off white head. Big robust taste of chocolate, liquorice and malt. The nose isnโt as strong as the taste, which is a shame really. Medium body, decent finish. Enjoyed this one!
