Brekeriet Breidur is a fruit beer mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Mango and apples are added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves fruit which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Breidur is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Hazed pale blonde/yellow with a thin white head. Nose is sour and tarte fruits, orange, lemon rind, woody notes, mango. Taste comprises mango, pineapple, light sour notes, funk, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry in the execution. Nice little drop - I’d class as a sour (light)! The ’fruit’ classification doesn’t do this one justice.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. It pours hazy golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is juicy orange, mango, apricot, peach, sweet dough, hay and icing sugar. The taste is tart apricot, peach, mango, sherbet, sour candy and earth with a dry, lightly tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Juicy, tart and easy going. Another winner from Brekeriet!

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Funky, acidic, fruit, citrus aroma. Flavour is fruity, tart, rather bitter.

Flaska från SB. Disig med en del små jästklumpar, gyllengul, lågt skum. Lätt geuzedoft med jord, syrliga äpplen och stall. Lätt och frisk, som en geuze light, torr eftersmak, lätt syrlig fruktighet utan att äpplena och mangon märks nämnvärt. Perfekt sommaröl.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with huge floaties and hardly any head. Some apples in the nose and actually quite some Brett. Medium body, quite some carbonation, a dry fruitiness with lovely funky notes. Ends dryish and tart. Lovely indeed. 120713

Big Cheers to Anders37 and the Swedish drinking team for this one! Very hazy gold beer - some floaters here. Residual white head. Palate is light and a little crisp. Light gueuze sourness is balanced with sweetish apple and a lesser generic fruits. Mild minerals. An interesting beer - like the sweet and sour vibe.

Bottle. Pours cloudy pale straw with small white head. Sourish, vinous aroma with subtle hoppy notes. Sour aftertaste. Does not taste like a fruit beer at all. Weird.

Bottle, 6.0%. Citric aroma, nice and Bretty. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is citric and quite funky. Lemony with a dry finish. High carbonation. Quite funky and with a slightly watery finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light bretty and toasted malty. Apples and citric fruity. Fruity, bretty and crisp hoppy. Lingering mango and apples citric, light bretty finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy bretty aroma with weak hints of apple. Fruity sweetish malty spicy weak bretty and weak mango flavor. Has a sweetish fruity malty spicy bretty finish.
