On tap @ Nedre Foss Gaard. Not too much of a head on this deep brown looking beverage. Smells nice though. It's really dark and roasted at first. Traces of dark bitter chocolate, cocoa powder and coffee. It's nice and oily on the texture while it's just about spot on the carbonation. Tastes really nice also. Lactose sweet without being too much. Lots of chocolate, chocolate wrapper and espresso. Quite a lot of flavor in this one. 29.05.2015

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Looots of mocca and sweet milky coffee. Slightly sour taste, a bit like a mocca yogurt. Actually feels a lot like that. Light and rather dry. Nice.

Pitch black colored, tan medium+ frothy head. Aroma is sweet dark fruit, milky lactose, chocolate, black olives? something strange here. Taste is medium+ sweet milk and dark chocolate, some dark fruits and licorice, some oats, lactose, light+ roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation, creamy to milky. Weird aroma... Tap @ Beer Temple. Black color. Light brown head, medium dense, leaving lace rings. Aroma’s: mocha, sweet coffee, red fruit. Retronasal: sweet, chocolate, mocha, light fruit, light roast. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, roasty. Light to medium bodied. Finishes roasty and light ashy, still rather sweet.

At American tasting in Bruges, shared by Bart. Thick, creamy, pale yellowish beige, lacing head over a blackish beer with translucent burgundy edges. Aroma of cappuccino, cold black coffee, dried mushroom, stewed beef, mouldy wood, vanilla, haemoglobin iron, mocha ice cream. Sweetish onset, raisin and fig drenched in quite strong, meaty umami, dried porcini-like, bit metallic middle with soft carbo and smooth, rounded, caramelly and toasted malt bittersweetness but less sweet and creamy than expected based on style designation; roasted coffee bitterness in the end as well as spicy hops further diverging it from an actual milk stout. Regardless of that, a very pleasant, well-made stout for sure.
