In our second collaboration with Gosnells Meadery, we blended half-and-half Gosnells’ Mead with our strong Belgian Tripel and then fruited with fresh chuckleberry. This braggot showcases an elegant floral and honey mead character, subtle spiciness from the Belgian triple, and a punchy and tangy berry finish with refreshing drinkability.

Bottle pour at 73 Enid Street. A hazed deep plummy purple crimson coloured pour with a lasting deep pink head. Aroma is salty sour, prickly red berries, cherry, red currant, horsey funk. Punchy tart red berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tart, red currant, raspberry, cranberry, yogurt funk, light mouldy sour. Sweetness of the mead rounds it out nicely. Palate is semi sweet, tangy, rounded, light spicy acetic in the finish. Very nice.

From a bottle at 73 Enid St. Pours red purple with a solid pink head. Aroma is jammy red fruit, sharp chuckleberry, oak, white wine barrel, sour funk. Taste is jammy red fruit, hint of sharpness from the chuckleberry, oak, white wine barrel, hint of funk. Way more mellow than the aroma. Lovely.
