Bottle picked up online a while back, split at the mini Tipple lockdown tasting, Hazlemere, 29/08/20. Clear golden amber with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is dried fruits, brown bread, raisins, herb, burnt toffee. Taste comprises fruit cake, prunes, yeast esters, sultanas, dried fruits, dusty tangy fruit rinds, hint of marzipan. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rise of alcohol. Solid for the style ... well balanced and never too sweet.

Bottle shared at Colin's high Wycombe tasting. Thanks. A murky dark gold orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, Belgian, yeas t, light orange. Flavour is composed of creamy wheat, orange rind, Belgian yeast, fennel, mild bitter. Palate is semi sweet, pithy. Lowish carbonarion. Ok.

A lovely tripel. A little zesty but basically all the breast maltiness you could hope for.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. "Auld Toon". Oransjerød. Lavt skum. Sukkertøyaroma. Smaken sukkertøy og bær. Veldig tørr ettersmak. Litt alkoholisk. Litt bunnfall igjen på flaska.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Nose is a little dusty floral with quite some alcohol showing. Rich, sweet body. Some overripe plum notes, sweet rot. Loads of bittering hops in the finish. Simple and boozy. 201217
