Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a murky burgundy with a msall cream head and excellent lacing. Red berries plus hints of toffee in the aroma. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with sweet malts being the initial sensation. They quickly give way to red berries, juniper and strawberry overlaid on a caramel base. Some spices there as well. Finish is quite sweet, but with bitter undertones. Not quite sure what to think of this one – but it’s certainly interesting !
