Bottle from the Coop in Chelmsford, Essex. Pours just about black, with a tan colour head. Aroma of chocolate, with a touch of bitter roasting. Body medium, texture a little on the thin side but ok for a beer of 4.1%. Decent for a stout of this kind of abv.

Cask @ EBF17 2014, 17th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE. [ As Round Tower Stout ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark roasted, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, ash, dark roasted, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140417]
