Spotty beige head on a clear amber coloured body. Malt, tea & spiced aroma. Medium bodied, with with a sharp back. Caramel, tea, spiced, malt & fruity tastes with a long bitter finish. Great Bitter.

Bottle shared with Grumbo: Poured a golden with a off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is light bitter but quickly balanced by malts, ends a little toffee and earthy.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours clear pale amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, fruit, citrus, caramel, biscuit. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Bottle from the Watermill Inn. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - generally toffee, citrus if you look for it. Taste - honey, citrus, then melding into toffee/caramel. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - ok.

Bottle 500ml. @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As Watermill Isle of Dogs ].Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, pale malt, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, light rubber. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140315]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light citrus, floral hops. Taste has caramel sweetness. Finishes clean. OK.
