Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Thin creamy malt. Minerals. Citric bitterness, notably grapefruit. Finishes crisp with strong grapefruit peel bitter linger. Pretty drinkable but Columbus is normally more characterful.

Tap at the Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light straw colour with a thin white head and a little lace. The aroma is of mango leading to a medium bitter, malty spicy flavour. A little oily too which wasn’t expected. The bitterness in the finish lasted forever and makes for a super refreshing beer.

Bottle from Great Grog, Edinburgh [230413]
Light blonde, big frothy white head, clear, some lacing
Aroma of citrus zest, lemon, touch of soft sweet spicy hops, light fruity sweet pale malts, some sherbet
Taste of bitter citrus zest, lemon, some floral notes now, light sweet pale malts, soft aromatic woody notes, hoppy for the abv, good flavour, quite a complex hop
Palate - soft carb, light body but a little oily too, good mouthfeel, bitter hop palate with a background of fairly sweet light malts. Fairly bitter dry zesty finish - same lingering spicy herbal notes come through in the finish with a touch of grass and peppery light wood.
Overall - Very well made for the abv and the hop flavour had some complexity.
