Bottle 650ml @ fonefan
Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, alcohol and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate and coffee finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation soft.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a black body under a dense, finger-thick light tan head. The aroma has chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and even more coffee. Some herbal hints. Supposed to be smoked, but I don’t detect that in the aroma. Some in the flavor though, which is also sweet, roasted and chocolatey. Not so much coffee. Full body and a soft carbonation. Coffee, roasted malts and some vanilla in the lasting finish. Alcohol notes all the way. A really nice one, tasteful and moreish. 140301

22 oz. Bottle from a trade with bu11zeye. Nose is a mixture of campfire, ashy malt and chili pepper. Taste is overly smoky, large amounts of old peppers, an imperial stout base is here but I really dislike smoked malt. This smoked malt lingers for a long duration. Ashy texture. I really tried to like this. But peppers and smoked malt really just isn’t my thing.

Thanks Chris for sharing this. bomber split this 4...could be 1 or even 2 years old. Batch number is unknown. pitch black. Smells like chipotle and smoke and sweet onions. Whoa. This is green peppers, smoked sausage, ham, salt brine and chocolate caramel coffee stout all molded into one. It’s good for what it is but I just can’t drink more than 1-2 ounces of this.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours black with small tan head. Nose brings out smoky notes, meat and a touch of roast. Flavour brings loads of smoked notes, but not really in a pleasant way, like an ashtray instead. Some hints of oxidation as well. Not good at all. Bleh. Couldn't finish my glass.

65 cl bottle @ Tampella
Aroma is odd with cocoa notes, some soy sauce and peppery (chili?) spices. Flavour has cocoa, smoky notes & chili (chipotle?). Also some soy sauce and licorice. Finishes with moldy cellar tones that do grow stronger towards the end of the glass. Feels a bit watery and too salty, but decent anyway.

650ml bottle, thanks rosenbergh
Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of spices, roastiness, dark chocolate and hints of ash. Taste is smooth, slightly smoked and roasty with hints of ash, dark chocolate and spices. Finish is warming, spicy, touches of mold cellar and a bit stingy with hints of smoked roastiness and dark chocolate. Okay, a bit untypically spiced imperial stout.
