Lys gyllen farge. Lite men dekkende skum. Frisk duft av humle og en liten anelse sitrus. Fin frisk smak med litt smak av sitrus.

Brewed to celebrate the 20 years of brewing done at Hobsons. 500ml bottle: BBD 4th Apr 2014, poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged vase shaped glass in my back garden on 10th Jul 2013. Pale and golden with a good, deep snow white foaming head on top. Plenty of carbonisation bubbles rising through the body. Lacing clung to the vase as the beer level fell. Hops in the nose: spicy rather than floral or citrusy. What malt aroma was weak and light, biscuity and bready. The taste was tangy with a citrus hint below the spicy hops already mentioned in the smell. The lemon (citrusy) feel comes alive more as the beer warms in the glass. Grass and grain notes too, as the malts try to assert themselves within the flavours. OK for me: I prefer darker, maltier brews but this is refreshing and suited the warm sunny weather I drank it in.

Bottle from Bernie’s Real Ale Off License, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a frothy white long-lasting head. The aroma is aromatic and a little hoppy. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, with some spicy hoppiness and a little zesty fruit on the palate. The bitterness lingers for a while in the finish for a very refreshing ale.
