Bottle bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours hazy orange with a rather thin fizzy white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some spotty trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and funky with wheat crackers, hay, blood orange juice, barnyard, pineapple juice, mango, dry soil, lime juice lemon zest and orange zest. Taste is sour and fruity with wheat crackers, orange juice, lime juice, hay, dry soil, sour milk, moist wood, orange zest, lemon zest, buttery wood and mineral. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering and light bodied. Finish is sour and fruity with crackers, lime juice, blood orange juice, apple cider vinegar, sour milk, hay, dry soil, moist wood, barnyard and leather. Solid sour...

Sample from Batch #4 (2013) at Kurtkeller 011: Crooked Stave-tastic 01 on 05/02/2014. This beer pours a hazy golden amber color with a medium thick fluffy white head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, bretty yeast and spices. Light-bodied with flavors of pithy citrus, funky brett, cherries and oak. The finish is fruity with an orange peel and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy pale golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out barnyard funk, oranges and citrus zest. Flavour is super funky, almost like a gueuze, with secondary notes of citrus and wheat. Super dry, funky, and amazingly refreshing and drinkable. My favourite of the St Bretta series. Phenomenal stuff.
