One-third pint by cask at Brains Bar, GBBF 2013, first day. Fawn-colured head over a deep, dark brown coloured body. Dark fruit and dark, mid-sweet, malts on the nose. Malt-fruity taste with dusty hops and caramel malts and a little bit of spices added to it. Dry bittersweet ending. Fine bodied. Not bad at all (London Olympia 13.08.2013).

Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear dark amber/ ruby colour with a consistent tan head. Aroma of caramel, dark malt and clove spiciness. Nutty flavours with notes of brown sugar and toffee. Leaves with coffee, burnt sugar and dry grain.

Keg at the Cock Tavern. Clear red - amber beer, little pale tan head. Light palate, softish and semi dry. Minerally carbonation. Light sweet malt with touches of spice and nuts. Subtle sweet bubblegum. Mild candied fruits. Finishes with a carbonated sting. Not bad.
