This Amber Ale’s burnished hue is a direct reference to the male’s distinctive wingtips. It is brewed with citrus-biased hops, giving this beer a lovely orangey aftertaste lingering on the tip of the tongue. It’s the perfect beer to enjoy in the spring and early summer, when the Orange-tips are flying, but it can remind you of those bright males all year round!

Bottle 500ml. @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As From The Notebook Orange-Tip ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, open and creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, malt, light to moderate hoppy, sharp, light orange - citrus and pine. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, hop bitter, malty, fruity, light orange. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140315]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours golden with a big white head. Aromas of orange and pine. Taste is too prickly and over-carbonated, which spoilt the flavour for me. OK.
