Bottle drank during RBESG; black pour with a tan head, offensive phenols in the aroma, taste has the phenols I hate, like having a beer spiked with TCP.

Bottled @ ZZT 9, small sample. Dark color, just some lacing. Aroma of peat, medicine, bandaid, iodine. Quite dry in taste, bit sourish even. Huge peat and too much for me.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Nice bottle - a stubby 750, the most pleasing aspect of this series of beers!!! Light black with a good sized tan head of bubbleage that retains well. Nose is peated malt, TCP, burnt toffee, smoke, a bit one dimensional. Taste comprises peat, smoke, mustard dipped pretzel, dark toffee twang, dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, peat evident in the close. Mediocre for style, along with the others it’s a rough and ready affair with little finesse.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a big, collapsing, dark beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is really peated, with some licorice and molasses. Burnt. It’s a tad boring on the palate, too thin, with a soft carbonation. Some sourness in the flavor, with peated malts, molasses and bonfire. Some sweetness. Dry, burnt and peated finish. Like the other ones I’ve had so far, it’s too one dimensional. 140301
