In the late 2000’s we created a beer to celebrate all the best of summer - baseball, beach days, and barbecues. Today, that beer has grown into the most iconic seasonal beer ever and the official craft beer of summer - Summer Love. Summer Love is a refreshing Golden Ale that delivers big flavor through its fine balance of clean pilsner malts and citrusy, earthy Simcoe and Tettnang hops.

Bottle from Eric’s personal stash at Churchkey - thank you sir! Bright and pale yellow, white edge head. Aroma of subtle black pepper, hint of grapefruit. Taste is lemon rind and white pepper. Lager-like, with a decent body. Easy to drink.

Draft at David Copperfield’s. Pours clear yellow with a small, white head and plenty of full-glass carbonation. Plenty of pale malts and earthy hops in the aroma. Flavor has an understated sweetness followed by mild, citrus and earth hops. Medium in body with crisp carbonation. Finishes short and clean with some nice, lingering bitterness. Solid beer.

Cask at Blind Tiger, New York, NY. Cloudy deep golden. Salty hay aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Very salty with shallow crystallic malt and sea water finish. Simplistic.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Huge citrus hops in the aroma with a bit of an herbal component. The taste is citrus and earthy hops with faint pale malty notes. Very bitter, and the bitterness lingers. Medium bodied. A little off balance, but good, and very interesting.
