In the late 2000’s we created a beer to celebrate all the best of summer - baseball, beach days, and barbecues. Today, that beer has grown into the most iconic seasonal beer ever and the official craft beer of summer - Summer Love. Summer Love is a refreshing Golden Ale that delivers big flavor through its fine balance of clean pilsner malts and citrusy, earthy Simcoe and Tettnang hops.

This beer in some ways reminded me of the old Brandywine Lager, with soft clean pale malts, grassy and catty hops, very fresh and floral (I think I might guess it a combo of hallertauer and saaz). Light and refreshing but never watery or bland, this is a winner.

Tap a the Victory Beer Hall Xfinity Live, Philly - 21/05/12. Pale yellow/blonde in colour with a generous off-white head. Earthy grass, yeast, muted citrus aroma. Taste follows nose, a little grain and wheat. Light to medium body with a fair rasp of carbonation. Decent above average blonde ale.

A golden blonde with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a nice grassy malt with a touch of honey. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with nice herbal German hops, very good and balanced. On tap at When Pigs Fly, August 1, 2012

Bottle thanks to mikem409: Poured a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is slight hoppiness and floral. Taste is nice refreshing grain and sweet corn with a nice hops bite to finish off a great summer beer.

Bottle at Pizza Port. Catpiss, grass, and citrus aroma with some biscuity malts. Hoppy flavor, light malts, too much catpiss for me, but maybe that’s age? A bit harsh on the hops, though nicely refreshing and tasty.

Bottle. Floral pineapple hops aroma. Hazy golden with a small white head. Piney grapefruit hops flavor, very light sweet malt. Medium body, light carbonation.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Good spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, herbal, floral, lemon zest, grass, light pine, and slight bread. Very nice aromas with a great hop profile and good strength; fairly dank as well. Taste of grapefruit, orange rind, lemon zest, herbal, floral, pine, grass, and bready malts. Good amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, floral, pine, grass, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a short bit. Great blend of hops flavor with good balance. Medium carbonation and body; with a very nice crisp and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with pretty much no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a really great and well hopped blonde ale. Great balance and hop flavor profile; extremely crisp and very easy to drink. I will be getting this again, great summer beer.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Grapefruit and earth aroma with light summer fruit. Grapefruit and light grain flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Easy drinking. Grapefruit and summer fruit lingers with light malt.
