In the late 2000’s we created a beer to celebrate all the best of summer - baseball, beach days, and barbecues. Today, that beer has grown into the most iconic seasonal beer ever and the official craft beer of summer - Summer Love. Summer Love is a refreshing Golden Ale that delivers big flavor through its fine balance of clean pilsner malts and citrusy, earthy Simcoe and Tettnang hops.

12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some cloudy white head. Nose is fruity, lightly spicy, yeast, lemon, grass. Flavor is similar, sweet, grass, lemon. Medium bodied, dry finish. Perfect summer beer.

Purchased in NY City. Pour a golden colour with a head that stay long and creates a coat over the brew. Grapefruit and orange aromas. Kind of a creamy mouthfeel. Grainy taste with the hop being strong, but well-balanced. Quite a nice beer that is a mix of a IPA and blonde ale.

Bottle. Pours a light gold with just the lightest hint of a haze and a big, pillowy head. Aromas are Beck-ian... skunky hops and skunky hops with a little bit of bread dough sticking out around the edges. Flavor tracks the nose pretty well... lots of doughy and sweet maltiness with a head to toe skunky hops presence. As it sits a while, the hops become a little more defined and take on a slightly peppery edge. I suddenly feel like mowing a few lawns!

Dark straw/pale amber. Medium head. Smells like weed, real powdery lupulin hops. Light on the bitterness, and with a fresh, breezy Atlantic boardwalk sort of maltiness. Wish more of the dank nose made it onto the palate. The bitterness does sit on the tongue a little bit, but I was promised more. It reminds me of De Smet Hop Harvest from Marble in Albuquerque, except not as refined or unique. Good brew though.

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on the day of my bachelor party after a 5 mile run. Appearance is a nice very slightly cloudy gold with a moderate white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is very citrusy, slight crisp, but also contains the yeast strain found w/ most blond ales. It really smells delicious. Taste is pretty good, not as bitter as the aroma gives off, not really bitter at all actually, goes down pretty smooth with a light hay malt and yeast presence. It’s pretty good stuff, typically not the biggest fan of these brews but this one is going down nicely.

Draft at Dexters. Filtered orange-yellow. Steady white head. Spicy sharp hop bite, quite intense. Doughy, yeasty aftertaste. Very Bohemian, some light buttery tones though. The bitter, astringent hop dosage really carries it, making it quite refreshing. Good, but not great.

This beer pours a hazy pale yellow color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of sweet malt and lemongrass. Light body with flavors of mildly zesty citrus, honey, malt and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a short citrusy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
