Cask at the brewery
Dirty dark brown color, generous sprinkler head. The aroma is a bit earthy and dirty. The flavor is a bit chocolatey.
Very light fruity esters. Shallow beer, more like a watered Stout than a Mild, but not a bad beer.

On cask at Main Street, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out very subtle earthy notes, not much else to speak of. Flavour is very creamy, with bitter dry cocoa and very earthy notes. Not really approaching the neighbourhood of authenticity for a mild. Creamy palate, but not much depth. Okay.
