Dark black, light edges. Not pitch black. the 2 finger head fades to a 1 finger brown head with some tight lacing and it sticks around for a while (over 10 minutes). nice resilient head. The smells fantastic. Sweet chocolate, marshmallow and walnuts with nice peanut butter taste. a faint oak and raisin on the nose as well. Very creamy mouthfeel. sweet chocolate. I like the mild bitterness, maybe would be nice if it was slightly sweeter. nutty finish. peanut butter is very integrated.

Bottle. Pour is a deep brown with a thin tan head and thick aromas of chocolate, nuts and earthiness. Flavor is a lovely mix of the above with a peanut edge to it that smooths things out and makes them fit together nicely. Lovely beer.

Smells like peanut butter beer. From a bottle. No head, dark beer. In taste, it does have some peanut in the background. However, this beer is kind of bitter and what else can be said? Can I say it is somewhat artificial in nature? Does not live up to its name sake, quite disappointed. Long burnt bitter linger thing going on here. Not impressed. get another name you assholes. Allah Akbar!

Bottle from a trade with pineypower. Pours dark brown/black color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and peanut butter. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate flavors up front with just a hint of peanut butter. Decent. Thanks Dean.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma and flavour is peanut butter, roasted malt, sugar, chocolate, coffee . Weird beer, but fun to taste.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of peanuts, roasted malt, figs and a lot of caramel and raisins, but the peanuts are everywhere. Medium-bodied; Strong peanut flavour at first that mellows out with the roasted malt hitting hard and the caramel sweetness really noticeable, along with some lighter chocolate and cacao notes. Aftertaste is sweet at first, but with the roasted malt and peanuts, turns out to be slightly savoury. Overall, a nice beer with a very strong peanut note and a little bit of sweetness that pairs well and makes a very good desert drink. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant in Falls Church, Virginia on 14-May-2014 later in the day after hockey in Arlington, Virginia.

Pint at Baltimore airport - dark brown - minimal lace - smells, not surprisingly, of peanut butter and chocolate, but also some leafy, earthy hopsand tobacco - feels fizzy in the mouth, like cola - tastes of sweet chocolate and peanut butter up front, but then bitter, roasty malts and bitter hops late - these two qualities don’t work together all that well - finish of tootsie rolls and tobacco - meh.

Tasting at Chez Bruce. all pale tan head. Nose of pure Sun Pat peanut butter!! Palate is light and smooth and semi dry. Sweet malts and a touch of sweet chocolate and sweet fruits. The peanut is pretty well integrated, light and semi dry. A fruity peanut treat. Stop yer tut tutting in the wings over there, beer should be fun!

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Pedro. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy tan head. The nose holds dry peanut butter, cocoa, a bit of toasted cereal. Medium sweet flavor with lots of toasted, grainy cereal, some earth, chocolate, hints of dusty peanuts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with further toasty bread, peanut essence, cocoa. Pretty solid overall, especially for a novelty beer.
