Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was wood, roasty malts, cola and a touch of fruit. The flavor was bitter and dryish with notes of marzipan, cola, a touch of cocoa and toasty malts. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

So this is my 4th beer from spoony. Tap bocktown. Big & dark. Mild maly aroma. Flat. Taste is dark, pretty much well behaved fer shure. Roasty feeling beer. At first i thot it was gonna try to be more impressive but I feel good about its laid back attitude. Evolves to a better beer. On the finish, a little more bitter than i care for in a sweet stout but hey, its not trying to be like a black ipa or a imp stout. Nice job.
