Darker than pale. Smells like a simple fresh lighter beer, almost neutral. Starts out quite mild and then suddenly hits you with a more unexpected bitter flavor. Yes, bitterness continues to build thru the session. Overall, not a bad common, but could use a few manners. Finish is medium bitter lingering bite.
