Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark brown color with faint orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was sweetish with molasses and a bit of dark fruits. The flavor was woody, dryish and malty with hints of molasses, dark fruit and a bit of fruity hops underneath. Medium length finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Tasty.

At the brewpub. Clear but darkish beer. Slight slaggy aroma. Not bad initially on the the nose. Nice rocky head. Has a start that includes some hop flavors but that fades rapidly as the session continues. Slag is in the flavor as well. Fairly flat on the tongue. Mild for an amber ale. Bitterness build to the finish but never gets in yer face.
