75cl bottle. Pours a very dark brown, with a thin tan head with good retention. Smells of roasted malts, peat and burnt plastic, dark chocolate. Tastes bitter-sweet, with roasted malts and smoke dominating the taste, but not necessarily in a bad way. A by-the-book porter. As it gets warmer, dark chocolate starts to make itself present, especially in the aftertaste. Smooth mothfeel. LE: I am starting to really enjoy this beer, a lot of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts in the taste, very well balanced. Increasing the rating a bit.

Backlog. From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 06.05.13. Dark brown. almost black. Sweet aroma of chocolate biscuits, spruce needles and coffee. Taste of bitter chocolate, some hops, dry liquorice, ash and waves of sweetness. Some hops in long aftertaste. Dry and appropriately carbonated mouthfeel. Decent drinkability.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very dark brown. Concentrated aroma of coffee and fudge. Mid dry with medium body and crisp, well rounded mouthfeel. Earthy coffee, chocolate, grain and fudge. Long bitter finish. Distinct and pleasant.

Bog bottle (from Vinmonopolet)
Opaque color, small brownish head. Aroma has cocoa and some woody/vegetably notes. Medium-bodied. Cocoa, chocolate, toasted malty flavor. Very cocoa powerish aftertaste. Not really my favourite.

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, some mild toffee, ashes, roasted malts and liquorice. Flavour is the same elements, but in a quite thick and bold way. Big ashy finish.

On tap at Elefanten, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out notes of rum and dark dried fruits. Flavour is much along the same lines, with boozy rum and toasted dark fruits. Quite alcoholic but pleasant enough. Decent but not my thing.
