Barely any smell. Looks a little darker than a pale ale, somewhat like lighter iced tea. Not a whole lottah hops at first then it starts to build thru the session. Yes, although the hops are present, they never really get in your face, well behaved for a hoppy beer. Not bad overall and better than most APA IMHO.
