Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky red-brown color with a large fluffy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was toasty, malty and woody with a hint of caramel. The flavor was toasty and malty with notes of yeast, caramel, wood and a hint of fruit. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Initially rather mild and dull but that ends quickly. During the session it starts rather muted then becomes a little more refined and easier to appreciate. Decent co2 all round. Goes down fairly easy and becomes more fun as we go on. Smell is a little malty and slightly perfumy. Malty taste becomes a little sweet at the end.
