Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a reddish brown color with a large foamy beige head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was yeast and dark fruits. The flavor was caramel, yeast, nut, ad touch of wood, moderate dark fruits and a boozy presence. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. booziness grows. Solid.

Smell is quite sweet and somewhat volatile. Nice and dark to the eye. Wew. quite strong on the palate, burns alittle. Yes, wew is the word. Almost like barley wine, the American wanna be style. A little cloying going down the gullet. Perhaps a little difficult for this lager lover. Towards the end becomes a little fruity fer sure. Quite flat. If you like strong beers, give this a try and ignore my reating.
