I was hoping for a well refined lager friend but no, its a somewhat rude ale... Very friendly on the intro taste and goes down easy, then its the second wave that gets ya. Soon the astringent bitterness kicks in, like an old country pilsner wannah bee. Astringent BS really sets into the taste bucket. Gets close to IPA territory in nastiness near the end.
