5.8/10 β€” Appearance 6 Aroma 5 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6
On tap at the rivertowne Irwin. Listed as rivertowne abbey. I assume this is it, they call so many of the same brews by many different names. Brownish iced tea looks. scummy head. clean beery aroma. first taste is slightly tart with a mild fruit in there, barely detectable. Slight alky kick but never offensive. A little yeasty as the session continues. Not bad. Interesting, best beer of the 4 I sampled . Never goes over the top. yes, that slight tart thing and yeast makes an impression. better than expected, thank you.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy orangish brown with a small foamy tan head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty sugar and a bit of vague candied fruits. The flavor was sweet and malty with notes of sugar, yeast, faint candied fruits, must and dust. Medium length finish of must, dust, yeast and fruit. Moderately full bodied. Decent.
