From the bottle this is a nifty looking opaque beer, big and black, thin choco moose head. From the name was expecting an imperial stout but this is much more mild. Roasty burned old campfire wood that has been dampened from a morning dew. Some fine sizzling carbonation makes this rather enjoyable. Finish is just good ol’ stout. Not over the top, fairly well behaved. Aroma is attractive charred olfactory. Perhps it gets good numbers from a pleasant surprize. Yes, not rude. Not sure about the chocolate claims but it does have some of that dark baking chocolate feel to it. Not a savage, hides it’s near 7% well.

Bottle shared at Primo’s Deli in Akron. This beer pours black with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Medium body with a roasty character and notes of chocolate malt, coffee and a touch of hops. The finish is creamy with a toasty malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
