On tap at the bocktown. Taste is alittle mild for a strong ale but a medical buikds thru the session. Fairly flat, I don’t detect any co2 at all. Not sure what to think of this bitter medicine. Needs some manners, even for a strong ale. I must say tho, it does try to fool you on the initial taste, comes across rather friendly then bites you inthe ass.

Tap at Barcade - clear light golden - aroma of pils malt, candi sugar, vanilla, some light mustiness and belgiany phenols - very crisp and hoppy on both ends - duvel-ish, at first - quite honey sweet through the middle - crisp hoppiness tries to temper this, but as it warms, the sweetness gets more and more potent - a bit floral - it is quite nice, I would just like it a little more dry.

Draft Phoenixville...no head by the time it was brought out....orange body with a slight haze to it...aromas of sweet malt and whiskey?.....initial sip is sweet with a vanilla almond taste.....a tad fruity but seems muddled in the alcohol heat mid-palate....a bit of bitter bite in the finish...medium lightly creamed body with little to no carbonation...seems like there are more distinct flavors to be found but the sweet overwhelms the senses...just lots of bitter sweet vanilla

Draft at the Phoenixville location, July 2006. An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light citrusy note. The flavor is very hoppy for a Belgian style beer, but also with nice spicy notes, and some fruits. The end is spicy and last for a long time, drying out the mouth. The alcohol leaves a slight note, but most importantly gives it a good body. Nice.
