12oz can pours with a murky dark copper body that supports a tall tan head of foam that leaves behind some clumpy lacing. The aroma offers up sweetness, minerals and resiny vague hops that have a pine side to them at times. The taste is thickly sweet and unloads an unwelcome mineral sensation. Behind that note I get a mix of pine hops and citrus hops that are drenched in white sugar where modest hop flavor is able to escape as well as some resiny bitterness. All in all this isn’t as bad as the IPA and I don’t feel compelled to pour it down the sink. So there’s that.
