On the 3rd of July 1938 Mallard set the steam locomotive world speed record of 126 mph - an accomplishment that still stands after 75 years. This delicious refreshing beer has been brewed in Yorkshire to celebrate this proud achievement and the 75th year anniversary. Join the celebrations by raising a glass of this great beer. You’ll love its delicate aroma from the triple hopping of Goldings, Cascade and Bramling Cross balanced by a fruity bitterness and lingering dry finish. Produced using predominantly home grown barley and pure chalk filtered water from the Wold Top Brewery family farm.

Old rating from 17-03-15 - 500ml bottle picked up on my UK road trip. Poured at home in Jersey, it's amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, biscuit, cereal & hints of spice. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish. Enjoyable

Bottle 500ml (AIH53, ABM)
Golden color, small white head. Light fruity aroma. Light bodied. Mango, pale malty flavors. Some citrus in the finish. Clean session beer. Of course quite watery as it is only 4% but reasonably drinkable.

Bottle. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, white head. The aroma is very citrusy, with some yellow plums and grass. Resin hints. Not much malts, but some in the flavor. It’s dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Medium body. A touch of blackberry leaves in the flavor, with citrus peel and grass. Some almost funky hints. Lasting finish with a nice bitterness and some resiny, grassy notes. Tasteful and quenching. 141231

Big offwhite head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Faint dusty resiny aroma. Sweetish dusty gooseberry taste with buttery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Sweetish mealy gooseberry aftertaste with herbal dusty notes. Low on flavour, but nice and drinkable. (0.5l bottle, forget where from.)

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a non-existent head. Actually there wasn’t much of a carbon dioxide fizz when I opened it. Nose - loads of sweetcorn and perhaps some orange but there might also be butterscotch. Taste - a bit better than the nose but still those sweetcorn and butterscotch notes. A bit cleaner though with some lemon on the end. Palate - light to medium bodied but the middle texture and the finish is a bit more cloying than preferred! Overall - is this in the condition it’s supposed to be?

Flaske 500ml fra Kjeller 5. Lys gyldengul. Høyt tett skum som varer lenge. Kniplingslacing. God syrlig fruktaroma. Smaken er mandarin. Økende syrlighet etter hvert. Partikkelsedimenter i siste kvelling. Litt uklar. Avslutter tørt.
