Probably one of the labatt beers with more personality. My experince with labatt is that of a fairly smooth drinkin beer. this one tries to come off like that at first but then with each slug a medium short bitterness sets in. Good amount of co2. Yez, it tries to build to something like a stronger rye beer but never really quite gets to that IPA impact which is so common in many stronger rye beers. Never goes over the top. If I was to give this a alky value by taste, it might be about 5.8%. After a while I notice a slight volatile metallic aroma in the glass. Not bad overall for a lager lover.
