0.5l bottle from #21. Yeah, it's quite dark this. As good as black or the least really deep dark brown looking. It also has a nice medium sized light ashy brown top - great retention and some nice lacings as well. The first thing on the nose is bitter dark chocolate and a good amount of dark caramel blended with roasted malts and green banana. Absolute fair, but perhaps a tad untraditional? It has as expected a bit of a thin and near watery mouthfeel wrapped in a soft prickling carbonation level. The taste has dry cocoa, cardboard, lots of rocky minerals and a little bit of nuts also located here. I like the dryness this one gives me. A bit like dry cocoa powder. A faint woody thing also located near the finish. Could be a nice one of only it had some more body and mouthfeel. 01.03.2014

Bottle. It pours a reddish dark brown body and a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is lighlty roasted, with some dms and a hint of pine cones. The flavor is pretty much the same, roasted malts and a hoppy touch, less dms. Some bitterness too, especially towards the finish. Thin on the palate, but not thinner than I’d expect from a 4.7% porter. Pleasantly low carbonation level. A beer that would probably do good from more body and ABV. As it is now it’s quite boring, but far from bad, and it slides down easy. 140207
