Cask @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB. [ As Townhouse Gladstone Strong Ale ].ABV: 5.0%. Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, butter. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, caramel, buttescotch. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130125]

Half pint, hand pulled cask at The Hop. Low beige, nitro head. Dark amber coloured body. Modest smell of mid-sweet malts. Blended flavour of chocolate malts and bitter fruits. Foamy in my mouth. Hardly average, according to my notes from Leeds, 10.07.2010.
