De raaf is een zeer wijze vogel die zelfs werktuigen gebruikt om aan eten te komen. Het is daarmee een symbool voor kennis en magie. Een witte raaf is daarbij een uniek en zeldzaam dier. De brouwers van Brouwerij Grensgeval gebruikten om deze traditionele weizen te maken ook hun beste zin- en werktuigen en zo ontstond dit unieke bier. Weize Raaf van Brouwerij Grensgeval is een zeldzaamheid in je glas: lichtblond, mooi troebel, uiterst fruitig en toch fris.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven en JoepvW op Brew@TheZoo2025. Het is een troebel geel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout, gist en kruiden. De smaak is vol moutig, kruidig en citrus achtig.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orange golden colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy aroma, hints of banana, a touch of white bread crust, some apricot, whiffs of vanilla and clove. Taste is wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy and mildly bitter hoppy, hints of unripe banana, a touch of apricot, unripe apricot; minimally alcoholic finish. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice apricot touch, not much depth overall - OK.
