500 mL bottle. A copper brown beer with an almost medium and blond head. Aroma is caramelly, quite sweet, lots of fruits, some tropical fruits and pine. Taste is caramelly malty, fruits, balanced with high bitterness, slightly wooden, lots of pine needles, fresh. The aftertaste is strongly bitter and quite long. Medium+ bodied, mild carbonation, not sticky, nice to drink. Strongly bitter and quite balanced DIPA, not too sweet, but more fruitness would be great.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy brown body. Deep fruity nutty aroma with strawy resiny notes. Dry-sweet resiny gooseberry taste with earthy nutty notes. Full-bodied. Mealy, sharpish mouthfeel. Dry orangey resiny aftertaste with floral peach notes. Lovely! Drinkable and full of flavour. (0.33l draft at Villi Wäinö, Helsinki.)

Aroma is sweetish, fruity, somewhat yeasty and quite low on hops. Flavour is hoppy and slightly sweet with exotic fruits, some bisquits and caramel. Some raw bun dough -feelings here. Good stuff anyway.

50 cl bottle @ Pispalan Pulteri
Sweet, messy and somewhat weird. Some berries and alcohol comes through, reminds me of a fruit candy. Rough score estimate: 3.4

(Draught at Villi Wäinö, 20120427) The beer poured reddish brown and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had hops, fruitiness, molasses and malts. Palate was quite full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, fruitiness, malts, molasses, sweetness, peach and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, malty, sweet and bitter. Very malty for a double IPA. I think there is an aging potential in this beer. It’s now a bit harsh.

Originally rated on 27.4.2012. Draught @ Viisi Penniä, Helsinki

Pours dark orange with a small foamy head. Nice aroma of exotic fruits, caramel malts, grassy hops and nutty notes. Taste is malty and hoppy with notes of caramel, toffee and a lot of exotic fruits. Hoppy, lingering bitter and fruity finish with notes of malts and nuts. Well balanced and extremely tasty. World class Double IPA. 9-4-8-4-16 = 4.1

Re-rated on 24.5.2013. 500ml bottle from Alko. BBE 11/2013. Aroma of yeast, berries, hints of caramel, ripe fruits and sweet malts. Taste is sweet, sticky and malty with notes of berries, hints of sticky fruits and bitter hops. Finish is sweet, sticky, bitter and malty with loads of toffee and caramel. Completely different stuff compared to the fresh tap version, and sadly nowhere nearly as good.
