Tap at Vine Street - was not a huge fan of this one - yeast character was muted, aside from some bright estery notes on the tail end - flavor was mostly toasty grains, with a lot of huskiness throughout - fairly dry, which is good, with a light dusty yeast note, but the huskiness cuts through most of it - meh.

On tap. Pours with a lightly hazed golden brown body with a small, off-white head. Aromas are bready, candi sugar, lightly peppery, licorice, mild funk. Flavors are bready, grainy, crackery, licorice/anise, fig, and a bit peppery. Dry with medium carbonation.

Hazy reddish-brown. The aroma has some gluey/phenolic stuff, pear/cherry esters and light alcohol. Fizzyness cuts some of the sweetness, which is caramelly in nature. The brew is quite estery. Ok, but a bit strong on the alcohol taste to be really drinkable, and too fizzy to be a dessert beer.
