16/V/16 - sample @ Leuven Innovation - BB: n/a (2016-558) Thanks to the Belgian RB crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely tropical fruits, some melons, pineapple, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, very hoppy, citrus, bit malty, some caramel, lovely stuff! Aftertaste: bitter hops, melons, pretty bitter, slightly roasted touch, that's how I like my black ipa's! ;-)

Black - indeed - beer with almost no head. Dry, ureum-rich hops, resiny, dry husks. More of the same in the mouth, but with surprisingly fizzy carbonation, adding quite some acidity. Overcarbonated despite its looks; medium bodied at best. Wayward - and not bad.
