Bottle, 75cl corked. A murky brown beer topped by a dense, light beige head of moderate size. The aroma is lighlty roasted, with dark dried fruits, some vinegar and a woody and lemony touch. Woody, roasted and lighlty vinegarish flavor with lemony notes. Peppery hints. A bit too warming on the palate, dry and pleasantly carbonated. Rosted, sour finish with too much bitterness. Sort of nice, but too messy and warming to be really good. And too bitter actually. 131123

Ulfborg weekend celebration of nothing in particular. Cloudy near black with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice, dried fruit, funk and oak. Dry and tart flavour with funk, roasted notes and fruit. The finish is both ashy/roasted and has a bit of sharp vinegar acidity

Bottle @ Beer Temple. Crianza 2012. Pours a hazy reddish brown beer with a very small head. Aroma of soft oak, soft brett with horseblanket, bit vinous, lots of melon comes through. Soft sourness, bit sweetness, vinous. Quite complex and quite nicely balanced.

Bottle at Bruce’s. It pours murky deep brown with floaters and a scummy beige head. The nose is roasted malt, mouldy wood, earth, dark fruit, faint spice and strong yeast character. The taste is earth, roasted malt, decent bitterness, mouldy wood, blue cheese, vinous, alcohol, tangy fruit, blueberry and mild sourness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Odd, unbalanced.... Not sold on this one.
