Not fully dark but getting there, has a small frothy head. It has a small roasted aroma and flavour, perhaps lesser of the latter, and a slight sweetness.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 12/05/12. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Toffee, malts and biscuit on the nose. Taste as nose with some dark fruits and a little spice. Fullish body in mild terms, not a watery one. Decent fayre.

Bottled bright from Kingston BF 2007. Deep rich chestnut colour. Lost a bit of condtition. Dark mild aroma, bit of light coffee and dark toffee. Decent dark ale. Good balance and lasting earthy dry finish. Fine.
