Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 30th May 2026. Deep ruby brown with shallow tan foam and full lacing. Pungent roast malt aroma. Rich berry fruits and earthy roastiness in-mouth, and a fruity finish with an ongoing roasty note. A velvet smooth mouthfeel and a light body. Very pleasant.

Cask at Waterloo Tap. Nil aroma (is it this place?). Dark - almost purple in the light. Frothy beige head. Initially low key veg before chocolate comes through. Light bodied. Thin. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. OK.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. A dark reddish chestnut pour with no trace of any head; oatmeal aroma; sweet treacle taste, with an oily body and a touch of chocolate from the deep roasted malts; then a light floral bitterness and a dry finish. A rather good mild.
