This is our interpretation of Amigos Británicos - a beer originally brewed in Vermont to celebrate years of brewing friendships forged in the UK. Together with our former Head Brewer Ryan (under his own new guise of Casita Cervecería) and Logan from Beavertown, we devised this adventurous ale with lime, honey and fresh Santa Fe Grande chilli peppers. Here’s to nights that become the stuff of legends and friends, wherever you may find them!

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours light golden with a small offwhite head. Aroma of light malt, light sweet, light honey, mild citrus, lime, just a hint of chilli. Flavor is light sweet, malt, yeasty, honey, citrus, lime, very light touch of chilli, most showing as a light warmth. Medium body, average carbonation, light and slowly growing chilli warmth. A chilli beer you actually drink. 040117

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Hazy gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and has a good fine crispness. Light dry malts, mildly sweet. Nice light lime streak. Well judged chilli, ie just a pinch of warmth. Dry seltzer, minerals. Light floral lime finish. Not bad.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Very dusty floral nose - and chili. Rick, sweet malty and fruity body. Again this driness, loads of yeast, dry chili without any real bite but a very dry and bitter finish. Dusty. 141216
