Now this is a serious beer. Love it just on the nose - sticky, treacly, not overwhelmed by alcohol. Mouth predominantly treacle but not thick. Aftertaste quite clean but with the treacle lingering. Like a tin of Lyles Black Treacle - no way 12%!

Can, sent my way by a very fine fellow. Cheers Simon. Clear chestnut brown. Sits dark brown in the glass with a slim ring of tan head. Nose has soy sauce. Milk chocolate. Old oak. Whisky dregs. Taste is chewy sweet with a boozy dry bitterness. Smooth smooth with fine carbonation. Doesn’t feel 12%. Bit of green leaf bitterness to finish.

Can split at the source. Pours jet black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, light berries, dark fruits. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet & moderate bitter, vanilla & bourbon barrel oak, smooth dark chocolate, creamy. Medium body with tight carbonation. Loved this.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is dark chocolate, a little bourbon and alcohol. Taste has dark chocolate to start, with a yeasty bourbon and roast on the finish. A little alcohol.
