Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, citrus, flowers, peppery notes and malt. Nice and floral. A little too carbonated.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Hazy gold with a big, billowy white head. Peppery, tropical fruit aroma with a hint of sweetness. Sharp fruit flavours in the mouth, followed by a hoppy, dry finish. Very good.

Aroma: Pungent aroma of freshly cut grapefruit, lemon and orange sherbet.

Appearance: Murky pale golden body with tiny yeast flecks floating around. Large head that looks like whipped egg whites. Lively lacing. Excellent carbonation.

Taste: Sharp lemon, zesty grapefruit flavour and a hint of yeast. Delicious balance between the sweet yeast and the bitter, citric hop.

Palate: Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation fizz.

Overall: A fantastic Saison - a fantastic hop - a fantastic brewery.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Bottled 02.05.2013, BBE 02.09.2013 - Pours cloudy yellowish orange with a massive foamy head. Aroma of raw dough, citrus, yeast, spices and tart fruity notes. Taste is tart, spicy and fruity with notes of citrus, some crisp grainy notes and hints of yeast. Finish is sweetish, hoppy and spicy with some yeastiness and tart funky yeasty notes. Okay, slightly unbalanced but tasty saison.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 02.05.2013, BBE 02.09.2013
Aroma is full of...Citra. Gooseberry bush, some fruity notes, grapefruit and distant yeasty notes. Flavour has lots and lots of grapefruit. Also some gooseberry bush, herbal notes and hints of spices. Finishes with yeasty feeling typical to saisons. Foamy palate, too much CO2 here. Refreshing and nice, some harsh bitterness occurs on some sips though.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold, fairly effervescent, with a moderate, frothy white head. The nose definitely holds some funky brett, a bit of poo, some tangy tangerine. Light sweet flavor with dry funk, some mellow grassy bitterness, drying tangerine, hints of grapefruit, a bit of manure, some white grapes. Light to medium bodied with average to lively, massaging carbonation. Somewhat dry to finish, mildly warming, more poo, light grassy bitterness, grapefruit and tangerine, some alcohol, subtle grass and minerals. Great stuff, quite dynamic and punchy. Good one.

Bottle from the brewery drank at home. Hazy cloudy gold with lasting white head. Big tangerine citrusy citra aroma with some funky yeast. More dirty and funky in the mouth with the citra making a big impact on the finish with bitterness and tangerine and Satsuma. Just a touch of conflict between the yeast and the hops I think produces a slight rubber flavour. But it is slight. So I like the aroma, but that touch of funky rubber is not quite my thing.
