330ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity, citrusy aroma, lemon, orange, amngo, spicy yeasty overtones, bretty echoes, some floral notes. Taste is initially fruity, citrusy, tropical fruit, later more yeasty, minimally spicy, hints of piss; still with moderately sweet fruity background.

As it was my birthday that day I thought I’d treat myself to this 330ml beer at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Stupidly I didn’t ask the landlord the price before he shushed it open. SIX FUCKING QUID!!! The greedy scumbag has made more than double his money, shame on him!! Anyway, pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Lots of citrus in the aroma with a splash of wet moss. Citrus, apricot and pineapple flavour. Quite a fruity number. Tasty.

Amber, hazy, big frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma - big fruity grapefruit hop, grapefruit zest, lemon, sharp zest, tropical fruits, mango, complex citrus fruits, bit of yeast, pungent very intense fruity nose, so fresh, fantastic fruity aroma
Taste - tangy citrus, grapefruit, smooth cereal malt, dab of yeast, sweet tangy zesty citrus, juicy citrus, alcohol well hidden, really good saison, works well with the huge amount of citrus
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, very tangy palate. Finish as main flavour, superb citrus fruity linger
Overall - Stunning beer - the aroma nearly hit a 10 for me

Bottle at the brewery. Translucent golden orange big persistent fluffy white head. Aromas of lemon rind, spicy peppercorns and breast dough malt. Flavours of mineral, lemon, bread. The finish is bone dry. Very well attenuated. Some prickly spicy flavours in the finish. Very good indeed.

Bottle from Partisan. It pours cloudy golden with a thick white head. The nose is full of tropical fruit...orange peach, apricot, as well as a touch of spice, yoghurt and hay. The taste is zesty orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, earth, straw, spice, touch of alcohol and decent bitterness with a dry, citric finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Delicious hopped-up saison. Full of vibrant citrus flavours. Yum.

Very hazy pale gold beer, big white head. Palate is smooth and dry with fine carbonation. Thin malt and a little yeasty bitterness. Lovely vibrant Citra hops - sweetish orange, tangerine and pink grapefruit. Finishes light and a little dry with mild bitterness. Very well hopped Saison!

On tap at Haand Festival. It serves an unclear, yellow-orange-golden body and a white, finger-thick head. The aroma has lots of citra hop impact, it’s really citrusy, almost hiding the malts. But the saison yeast is still present, adding some peppery notes and generic fruityness. There’s also a little touch of white sugar in this one. It’s full-bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, hiding the alcohol well. The flavor has a nice bitterness in addition to what’s found in the aroma, leading to a dry, lasting, bitter and citrusy end. A really wonderful saison, that’s for sure. 130525
