I bought a 750 ml bottle at a Total Wine in Austin some time ago. The weather is finally starting to act like fall, time to sample a tripel. Using my Straffe Hendrik large tulip glass, I see a dark gold body with a minimal head of absolutely white foam. I smell yeast, nectarines and a bit of, I swear, bubble gum. The drink is rather appealing, apricots, straw, a floral touch, green apples and meadow. An assertive presence as I have a drink, something I like. A decent brew in a style I like considerably. And it was nice to have the big bottle, don’t see many of them these days.
