Brewed with Salem’s soft water, floor-malted Czech Pils malt, and a blend of Sterling, Saaz and Sladek hops. Double decocted, open-fermented with extended lagering time. The name pays homage to Czech beer halls that are named after animals, and to the cormorants that live in the South River adjacent to our Salem Biergarten.

Large crowler, shared at my bday Grande Tasting. Clear golden with medium white head. Malty, grainy, floral, nice bitterish finish. Easy drinkable and very tasty.

Pours slightly hazy gold into a stein. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Cracker, meadow and hay aromas. Medium bodied with meadow, straw, biscuit and hay upfront turning to earthy lemon peel in the dry, medium length finish.
