Helga is our representation of the classic Rauchbier’s of Bamburg but with an added twist from the use of cherrywood smoked malt. The smoke is subdued yet adds a pleasant honeyed BBQ character to the finish.

An at home. Light clouds but amber gold and a sudsy head. Nose isn’t as heavily smoked as taste. Decent amount of bacony smoke, hay, wood, cherry. Smooth palate.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention craters and conglomerates as it recedes leaving gloppy lacing. Hay and light smoke aromas. Crisp with sweet hay and honey upfront turning to smoky straw in the dry, lasting finish.
